Set up in 2004, Turner PR is a niche agency of committed PR, content and marketing specialists who work exclusively with clients in the charity and non-profit sector. Together we have more than 40 years’ experience of raising the profile of fundraising and charity services, working with trade bodies and associations, suppliers, sector campaigns and community organisations.
Creating bespoke solutions for each and every client, we deliver a broad range of services including PR and marcoms consultancy and delivery, strategic partnerships, content development, copywriting, social media management through to design and production.
Jenny Turner, Managing Director and Founder
Having specialised in PR and marcoms within the charity sector for more than 20 years, Jenny founded Turner PR in 2004, growing the agency to deliver a broad range of PR and communications services for the non-profit sector. She is a keen supporter of the fundraising community, playing an active role on a variety of panels and committees that include the Chartered Institute of Fundraising’s Partners Forum, the institute’s Insight in Fundraising Special Interest Group, and the judging panel for the Charity Times Awards. Jenny is a natural and intuitive networker with an ability to identify potential strategic partnerships, often helping Turner PR’s clients to develop collaborative alliances and projects for mutual benefit. She’s a great believer in helping clients in their profile raising through approaches that are right for them but which also support and give back to the wider sector.
Previously, Jenny helped develop several specialist trade and B2B communications agencies, working with clients in the branding and marketing services arena, and before that with technology focused PR agency, Text100.
Jenny has a love the natural world and walking with her beloved sausage dog, Dot. She is a keen photographer, sharing her pictures on Instagram @jenturnerpr and she’s also a licensed Thames mudlarker, exploring the shores between the tides in the hunt for historic artefacts.
Lucinda Frostick, Associate Director
With a love for writing, Lucinda has worked in PR and content development for over 20 years, initially in the financial services sector with some of the largest investment houses in the city and then moving into the charity sector. In-house, she led the communications programmes at The Giving Campaign and Institute of Fundraising, before joining Turner PR in 2010.
Lucinda is an experienced and talented communications strategist, devising creative ways of engaging voluntary sector audiences. Working across a wide variety of non-profit clients, she manages accounts through tailored communications programmes, helping clients to define their communications objectives, identifying and generating opportunities, and developing tactical elements such as white papers, research reports and more.
Lucinda is a keen singer, runner and mum to three boys. She blogs about her family’s journey towards life without single-use plastic at noecowarrior.com.
Melanie May, Content Editor & Reporter
As a former Haymarket editor, Melanie is a highly experienced journalist and copywriter. She has been an integral part of the Turner PR team since 2010, bringing invaluable insights from her former life as a journalist and editor at several B2B titles. With an exceptional eye for detail, Melanie works across our client base creating quality news and feature content for trade media and blogs, client newsletters and websites.
In her own time, she’s a keen runner, photographer and volunteer for the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, where she helps to keep track of the local herds of sheep and Dexter cattle.
Dave Gooderham, Social Media Manager
Dave is an experienced journalist, having worked at the East Anglian Daily Times in Suffolk for more than 10 years before moving into the charity sector and joining his local hospital as its Fundraising Manager. He has since returned to his writing roots as a specialist PR and social media consultant.
Away from work, Dave’s passion is his young family and football – coaching an Under-9s team in his native West Suffolk.
