Job Description – Senior Account Manager

We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Account Manager to join our specialist B2B communications agency, working with inspiring clients in the charity sector — from trade bodies and collaborative charity campaigns to sector suppliers.
You will be confident in managing client relationships and delivering standout communications that raise the profile and impact of our clients. You’ll report directly to and be supported by our Managing Director, and work closely with the wider team, developing both strategy, action plans and hands-on delivery.
This is a great opportunity for a PR and communications all-rounder who’s confident in developing and implementing campaigns, creating compelling content, and building strong media relationships. You’ll enjoy getting stuck in — whether that’s writing blogs, press releases, feature articles, reports, or copy for social posts — and you’ll be just as comfortable crafting strategy as you are rolling up your sleeves to get the job done as an effective member of our small friendly team.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management: Lead day-to-day client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser and strategic partner. Plan and deliver effective PR and communications campaigns aligned with client goals.
- Content Creation: Write and edit a wide range of high-quality content, including press releases, blogs, newsletter copy, feature articles, and reports.
- Media Relations: Liaise confidently with journalists and target media, sell in stories, manage press distribution, and handle media enquiries. Track media coverage and evaluate PR activity using our online tools.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, freelancers and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time and to a high standard. Support or lead on client projects across the agency portfolio and brief others when needed.
- Strategy and Results: Develop and implement communications strategies. Monitor, report on and evaluate campaign performance, always looking for ways to improve impact and results.
What We’re Looking For
Experience:
- At least five years’ hands-on PR and communications experience (agency or in-house) with proven track record of creating and delivering successful campaigns and managing accounts.
- Good understanding of the charity/voluntary sector and its media landscape; preferably with knowledge of fundraising.
- Bonus but not essential: experience with legal, business, or personal finance media; fluency in a second European language.
Skills:
- Excellent writing and editorial skills — creative, concise, and adaptable across formats.
- Strong communicator, confident liaising with clients, media, and sector stakeholders.
- Skilled at managing multiple projects and priorities independently, with great attention to detail and time management.
Personal Qualities:
- A proactive and efficient approach, happy to work independently or in a team, with a collaborative mindset.
- Creative thinker who’s passionate about using communications to support positive change.
- Organised, adaptable, and enthusiastic about working as part of a small, supportive team.
We’re a small, passionate team that values collaboration, creativity and producing work we’re really proud of. If you love variety, working with purpose-led clients, and bringing creative ideas to life, we’d love to hear from you.
